Betelgeuse, more commonly known as Beetlejuice, is a bio-exorcist and freelance "ghost with the most" first appearing in the 1988 horror comedy film Beetlejuice, directed by Tim Burton.
Portrayed by Michael Keaton, Beetlejuice is a mischievous and crude poltergeist. He is summoned by the recently deceased Adam and Barbara Maitland to scare away the Deetz family, who have moved into their home. He is characterized by his striped suit, green hair, and decaying appearance, reflecting his unkempt nature.
